Albyns is a residential design-and-build studio based in Chelsea, on Paradise Walk, SW3. It is our home ground, and the borough where much of our work is found - from period townhouses off the King's Road to riverside houses near the Embankment and substantial family homes in The Boltons, SW10.

 

We create contemporary classical homes: the traditional Chelsea facade carefully preserved, a thoroughly modern home built behind it. Our projects here include whole-house rebuilds, multi-level basement excavations housing swimming pools, cinemas and gyms, and the careful renovation of listed and conservation-area properties - the kind of technically demanding work that defines the borough's finest streets.

 

Chelsea sits within the Royal Borough of Kensington and Chelsea, and two decades of working with the authority gives us a clear, honest view of what is likely to be approved. Much of Chelsea falls within conservation areas and a great many houses are listed, so we can advise early on planning permission, party wall matters and the structural implications of basements and extensions.
