Architecture is where every Albyns home begins. We are an integrated residential design-and-build studio in Chelsea, creating contemporary classical homes across prime central and west London - Kensington, Knightsbridge, Belgravia, Mayfair, Holland Park and Notting Hill. Many of our projects share a defining brief: preserve the traditional London facade and build a thoroughly modern home behind it.
Our work spans whole-house rebuilds, extensions and reconfigurations, multi-level basement creations, and the sensitive restoration of listed and conservation-area properties - the technically demanding work that defines prime central London, and the work we know best.
Because our architects, interior designers and builders sit under one accountable roof, the design is developed with construction, cost and programme in mind from the first sketch. There is no gap between the drawing and the building of it, and no design intelligence lost in handover - the thinking that shapes a room stays present all the way to completion. It is what allows an Albyns home to be as considered to live in as it is to look at.
Two decades of working with the Royal Borough of Kensington and Chelsea and neighbouring authorities means we can advise early and honestly on what is likely to be approved - planning permission, party wall matters and structural alterations - removing risk from a project before it begins. Long-standing relationships with London's finest joiners, stonemasons and metalworkers allow us to detail and deliver bespoke finishes made specifically for each home.
Every project is led by a single, director-level point of contact, supported by an in-house team that owns design, craftsmanship, cost and programme in equal measure. From the first feasibility study to the final handover, one team is accountable for the whole.
