A complete redesign and rebuild of a substantial home of over 30,000 square feet in Notting Hill, conceived as a contemporary classical family home - a traditional London exterior wrapping classical upper floors above lower, contemporary levels.

A triple-level basement excavation houses a 25-metre swimming pool, spa and gym complex, a private cinema and a party room, served by a car lift and a passenger lift, with nine en-suite bedrooms, multiple entertaining rooms and staff suites.

Each room was briefed individually rather than finished uniformly, drawing on a considered material palette throughout. Designed, built and project-managed in-house by Albyns from concept to completion, with the structural engineering required to excavate three levels beneath an occupied prime London plot.
